The Candy Corn Plate
A sweet little plate for a single sandwich, a pile of cheese and crackers, a sliced apple, a handful of candies or whatever you desire. It's the perfect size for little afternoon snacks. This plate makes a wonderfully personal hostess gift.
The color-block pieces are made by masking off the sections and applying 2-3 layers of different color glazes to each section. The masking is then taken off before firing, to reveal a crisp line of unglazed clay.
*All of my work is handmade using slabs, pinching or coiling methods so you may see how my hands manipulated the clay with their perfect imperfections. They can be put in the microwave or the dishwasher, but as with any handmade item, they will last much longer with handwashing and gentle care.
With any handmade work, each piece can have slight variations. The pill plates are approximately 7 1/2" long and 4 1/2" wide.
