NEW hanging planters made with macrame and found driftwood pieces (from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans)!! These planters are permanently attached to the macrame hanging through a series of knots made with cotton cording. Each piece is unique and one of a kind. They are handmade with a brown clay body and this particular planter was glazed with a mottled earthy tan glaze on top of a deep black glaze.

All of my work is hand built in the pinch, coil or slab method so you may see how my hands manipulated the clay. Their shapes and sizes vary, but the pot is approximately 5“ wide and 3-1/2“ deep and the macrame hanging is 24-1/2“ long from bottom of the wooden loop to the bottom of the pot.

With any handmade item, it benefits from gentle, hand washing and care. The macrame cotton cording will last longer if kept indoors. These planters are made without a drainage hole so they can be used indoors, so add a handful of gravel or another medium to the bottom to aid in water drainage. The pots are the perfect size for a 3-1/2” potted plant.
