The Swedish Dala Horse Ornaments
This handmade ceramic Dala Horse ornament is made from high-quality, white stoneware clay and is a symbol of Sweden (part of my heritage). Growing up, my mother always collected horse statues and we always loved the Dala Horses for their bright colors and designs. Historically, they were sculpted of wood for children’s toys, but they quickly became an unofficial symbol of Sweden.
Each ornament is cut and hand carved with a classic design and then glazed with a variety of cheerful colors. Each ornament is topped with a little ceramic star! A leather cord loop at the top makes it easy to hang or display.
